Terms
Last updated 30 October 2026
The short version
Kumonote is in early access. Your boards and cards are yours. We store them so you can use them, and for nothing else. Be kind to the service and to other people, and tell us when something breaks. Things will change as we build, and we'll tell you about the changes that matter.
Who we are
Kumonote is run by [legal name and address to come]. When these terms say "we" or "us", that's who they mean. "You" means the person using your account.
Early access
Kumonote is still being built. Features will change, some may go away, and the service may sometimes be slow or unavailable while we work on it. We can't promise any particular uptime yet. We do our best to keep your work safe, but please keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
Your account
- Accounts are invite-only for now. You can sign up with the email address your invite went to.
- There's no password: you sign in with a code we email you, or with Google. So keep your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
- One person per account. Don't share your account or sign in as someone else.
Your content
You own what you put on Kumonote: your boards, cards, notes, images and links. You give us permission only to store it, process it (for example, to make smaller copies of your images so boards load quickly) and show it to you and to the people you choose to share it with, so that we can run the service. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
We don't sell your content, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't use it to train AI models. Only upload things you have the right to use.
Acceptable use
Please don't use Kumonote to:
- store or share anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's rights;
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or send spam;
- attack the service: probing for weaknesses, overloading it, scraping it, or trying to get into accounts or data that aren't yours.
Storage limits
You can make as many boards and cards as you like. The free plan is limited by how much you store (mostly images and files). We'll publish the exact limits, and any paid plans, before they apply, and going over a limit will never quietly delete your work.
Ending your account
You can stop using Kumonote at any time, and ask us to delete your account and everything in it by writing to [email protected]. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk. Unless it's urgent or the law stops us, we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to take your content with you.
Liability
During early access, Kumonote is provided as it is, without guarantees, to the extent the law allows. We aren't responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen or prevented. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live, or our responsibility where the law doesn't let us limit it.
Changes to these terms
We'll update these terms as Kumonote grows. If we make a change that matters, we'll email you before it takes effect. If you don't agree with a change, you can delete your account.
